- Is Mad Media Online a staffing agency?
Although we do offer project management and recruiting services, we generally prefer not to be classified as a staffing agency. We are technically not a staffing agency.
- Is Mad Media Online a talent agency?
We are not a talent agency. We are an online database of fitness models ages 21-45. If the fitness model is over the ages of 45 and in excellent shape, they will still be considered for fitness modeling work. We offer free advertising for the fitness model. We post, design, and create comp cards and photo gallery slideshows for fitness models free of charge. We also upload and host the fitness models videos free of charge on the Mad Media Online website. Mad Media Online is a website domain owned by "Digimedia."
- Is Mad Media Online an agency at all?
The answer is no.
- Is there a charge for fitness models to search jobs on the Mad Media Online website when it launches?
The answer is no. There is no charge to search jobs on the Mad Media Online website when it launches.
- Is there an upfront charge to join Mad Media Online "Digimedia" online database of fitness model talent?
No. There is no upfront charge to join Mad Media Online database of fitness models. The company will create an online profile and comp card at no charge to the fitness model.
- Do you charge a percentage of the fitness models earnings if they are placed in an independent contractor position, event position, acting position, or fitness modeling position?
In most cases, Mad Media Online attempts to charge a one-time referral fee to the client (example: The cable network, TV show, event, publications company, or graphic video game manufacturer, production company, movie production studio, or other client looking to hire a fitness model/actor/actress. )However, if charging a referral fee fails, then the company will charge the client a percentage which is not taken out of the fitness models earnings for a specified period of time 1, 3, 6, 9, or 12 months.
- How much do fitness models get paid for acting, fitness modeling, or working events?
Payment varies fitness models can get paid up to $1,600/day for acting for non-adult or semi adult or adult videos/films or more. Fitness models can be paid up to $1,500/day for fitness modeling for magazines, and payment varies for V.O (voice-over) work for graphic videogames. Some projects offer exposure only.
- Do fitness models get paid a commission rate from the Mad Media Online's website itself for advertising and/or being featured on the Mad Media Online website?
It depends. Fitness model talent will have the option to make a 20% to 33% commission rate from Mad Media Online website subscriptions that the client signs up for on our website if booked by a client. 20% commission of our website subscription sales will be offered to the actor/actress/fitness model, if they have been advertising on our website for 1 day through 6 months. And 33% commission will be offered to the fitness model if the fitness model has been advertising on our website for over 6 months. Our commission rates we are offering the fitness model for advertising on our website can be amended, changed, or revoked at any time. However, clients will pay you per project rates which may not be revoked, depending upon the contract they negotiate with you. The time frame to calculate the 20% to 33% commission rate begins when the full fledge website launches in end of summer 2014, not counting the time frame your photos are listed our under construction website. The commission rate that the fitness model would be paid comes from monthly website subscription sales that the client (example: TV Show, Production Company, Magazine, Photographer, Publications Company, Graphic Video Game Manufacturer) pay to contact the fitness model through their online comp card profile and to post jobs on the Mad Media Online website. The client would pay the fitness model directly a base pay rate either an hourly rate (up to $15/hr-$300/hr for an event), up to $500/day-$1,600.00/day for an acting assignment, or up to $1,000 day or more for a fitness modeling assignment. As mad media online is not a talent agency, there is no agency-talent relationship between Mad Media Online, Digimedia, or the fitness model/talent.
Fitness Models work for the client and not Mad Media Online. However, commission would be paid to the fitness model from Mad Media Online website subscription sales if the fitness model is booked for an assignment through the website and would receive commissions from the Mad Media Online website. In addition, the fitness model would receive base pay rates from the client for the fitness model modeling or acting assignments worked for the client. (For example, if you apply for a job on Mad Media Online's job board when it launches or for a job e-mailed to the fitness model from Mad Media Online via e-mail, the fitness model would be working directly for the client and would be paid a day rate, hourly, rate or flat rate from the client that could be for example Men's health Magazine). If the fitness model is booked for a gig with Men's health magazine for example the fitness model would be paid directly from men's health magazine and/or men's health magazine photographer plus the fitness model would be eligible to receive a commission from Mad Media Online website monthly website subscription sales for being featured on the Mad Media Online website. The commission rate the fitness model receives would not come out of the fitness models salary. The commission rate the fitness would be paid would be more like a referral fee for bringing business to the Mad Media Online website and would be paid in addition to the fitness models base pay rate the fitness model receives from the client.
- Are the fitness models required to remain and be in excellent shape to be advertised on the website?
Yes. In order to be considered a fitness model, male/females must have either semi flat abs, flat abs, or six pack abs. Semi flat abs are abs that are basically flat, but there is no six pack. Semi flat abs is slightly puffier than actual flat abs and may not be as flat as a pancake, but is primarily flat.
- Do men have to lift weights to be advertised on the website?
The answer is yes. The men who advertise on the website must lift weights at least 4 to 6 days per week. The men must also be Athletic, Muscular, or have a Bodybuilder physique.
- Do women have to lift weights to be advertised on the website?
It depends. Women are encouraged to tone. Must be slim, lean, or bodybuilder is fine. Women can also work with their own bodyweight in lieu of lifting weights if they wish, but must be firm, lean, or toned. No anorexia please as this is a fitness modeling website.
- Can I be an amateur bodybuilder or fitness model and still be advertised on the Mad Media Online website?
Yes. Amateur men/women who are in excellent shape, but have never modeled before can be advertised on the website.
- Do I need professional pictures in order to be advertised on the Mad Media Online fitness modeling website?
No. You can have someone take a picture of you using your camera phone. Make sure if you are a man that you have someone take 2-3 pictures of you shirtless, 2-3 pictures in muscle shirts, and 2-3 pictures in business casual or business attire. Full nude pictures will be blurred out if full nude pictures are sent. Women can send 2-3 pictures in two piece bathing suit, 2-3 pictures in business casual/business attire, and 2-3 pictures in casual attire.
- Is there an age requirement?
Yes. All fitness models must be at least 21 years of age to be advertised on the website. No exceptions will be made. Our age market is 21-45, but if you are over 45 years of age you will still be considered for fitness modeling work, if you are in excellent shape.
- Are their height and weight requirements?
It depends. Women should be 5'5 through 6'0. Men can be 5'8 through 6'6. However, when it comes to weight requirements, since this is a fitness modeling website, the only require is you have a BMI of no more than 30 and your percentage of body fat is 30% or less.
